Tinubu Administration Scores Major Win As Papiri Students Freed, Abiodun Hails Leadership
Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has praised President Bola Tinubu for the successful release of the remaining 130 students of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State. Governor Abiodun described the release as a triumph over forces that seek to destabilize the nation. In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Sunday, he emphasized that the successful rescue reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring the safe return of all abducted students and reuniting them with their families.
“I am extremely delighted that the remaining 130 students of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State, who were in captivity, have been released. The students, their parents, the Papiri community, and the Niger State Government have endured a great deal, and I rejoice with them in this moment of victory over the forces of darkness,” Abiodun said.
He commended the President for the security measures put in place, noting that they have renewed Nigerians’ confidence in the government. He added that the Tinubu administration is committed to a secure and prosperous Nigeria, determined to combat kidnapping and terrorism, and restore stability to the nation.
Governor Abiodun also praised the efforts of the security agencies and urged them to pursue and bring to justice those responsible for criminal attacks against innocent citizens, using the full extent of the law.
