In Spain, Sevilla secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Real Oviedo, with Nigerians Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke at the forefront. Adams opened the scoring in the fourth minute, marking his third goal of the season, and later provided an assist for Djibril Sow’s strike. Ejuke, coming on in the 77th minute, completed a dazzling solo run to net his first goal of the campaign, sealing Sevilla’s dominant display.
Croatia also offered encouraging news for Nigeria as AFCON newcomer Lawal Salim Fago continued his fine form for Istra 1961. The forward scored inside five minutes, marking his fifth goal of the season and extending his scoring streak since receiving his national call-up. Although the match was abandoned at 1-1, Fago’s early impact highlighted his readiness for international duty.
