Fubara Pledges Total Support For Tinubu In 2027, Sparks PDP Outrage.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to rallying full support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election. According to Nivo News, the governor made the declaration shortly after his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move he attributed to being abandoned during his political crisis.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
While speaking at the commissioning of the Egbeda–Omerelu link road on Thursday, Fubara stated that his focus is now aligned with ensuring widespread backing for the President’s re-election bid. He emphasized that he is prepared to work with various political groups to guarantee victory for Tinubu in 2027, stressing that delivering results for the President remains a top priority.
Meanwhile, the PDP has reacted sharply to Fubara’s comments, suggesting that the governor has become emotionally attached to those he once considered political adversaries. The party’s factional National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, during a televised interview, said Fubara appears unable to identify the true source of his political troubles. He noted that the party had previously shown understanding towards the governor during turbulent moments and cautioned him against shifting blame.
Ememobong added that Fubara’s recent stance reflects a classic case of Stockholm syndrome, describing it as a situation where a captive becomes fond of a captor and loses clarity about the real issues at play.
