Tinubu Celebrates Rescue Of 100 Niger Students, Orders Total Recovery Of Remaining Victims.
President Bola Tinubu has applauded the efforts of Nigeria’s security agencies following the release of 100 abducted students from Papiri Catholic School in Niger State, while urging an intensified push to free those still in captivity. President Tinubu stated that he had been fully briefed on the safe return of the students and commended Governor Umar Bago and security operatives for their resilience since the November 21 abduction. He reiterated his firm directive that every remaining student and all other abducted Nigerians nationwide must be rescued without exception, stressing that no victim must be left unaccounted for.
The President called on security agencies to intensify their operations to secure the release of the remaining 115 students and teachers still held by the kidnappers. He assured the parents and affected communities that the Federal Government was working closely with the Niger State Government to ensure the safe return of everyone still in captivity.
President Tinubu further ordered security operatives and state authorities to adopt stronger preventive measures to stop schools from being repeatedly targeted by terrorists. He warned that Nigerian children must no longer be exposed to avoidable danger, insisting that the era of students becoming easy targets for criminals must end immediately.
