In a related development, singer Femi Kuti has spoken about his childhood with the late Afrobeat icon, revealing that he grew up without structured guidance and had to learn through observation. According to Nivo News, Femi made the remarks at the Ake Arts and Books Festival in Lagos, where he described his upbringing as unconventional. He explained that although no formal lessons were given at home, his father expected him to understand various matters on his own, adding that the typical father-son bond did not exist in their household.
