EFCC Sparks Outrage As Former Minister’s Abuja Home Is Sealed.
According to Nivo News, the Media and Public Affairs Special Assistant to former Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, Julius Bokoru, has strongly criticised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for sealing Sylva’s Maitama residence in Abuja. He described the action as arbitrary, vindictive, and fundamentally at odds with democratic norms.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Bokoru, in a statement issued on Monday and titled “A Grave Breach of Decency: EFCC’s Attempted Raid and Defacement of Sylva’s Family Home,” alleged that the commission acted completely outside the framework of the law. He claimed the operation was carried out without any prior communication, legal warrant, subpoena, or official notification.
He noted that EFCC operatives spray-painted “EFCC Keep Off” on the property, a move he said unfairly portrayed Sylva as a criminal rather than a respected public figure. Bokoru stressed that the situation was even more distressing because the residence is home to the former minister’s children, relatives, and staff, who he said had been effectively surrounded for weeks.
The former minister’s aide further decried the prolonged detention of several of Sylva’s aides and domestic staff, naming Paganengigha Anagha, Friday Lusa Paul, Musa Mohammed, and Police Officer Reuben Ayuba. He described their detention as unjust and rooted in allegations he termed “insubstantial.”
Bokoru suggested the development may be tied to local political rivalries rather than directives from the federal level. He insisted that President Bola Tinubu had no involvement in the EFCC’s actions and reaffirmed Sylva’s unwavering support for the administration and his longstanding record of service.
Despite expressing deep concern over the situation, Bokoru maintained optimism, saying Nigeria has endured difficult times in the past and would once again rise above intimidation and injustice.

Retaliation Unleashed! Trump Declares Iran Will Face 1,000 Missiles For Any Attempt On His Life!.
President Donald Trump has issued a severe warning to Iran, declaring that the U.S. military is prepared to launch a devastating retaliatory strike should Iran attempt to assassinate him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that 1,000 missiles are “locked and loaded” and aimed at Iran, with thousands more prepared to follow if the Iranian government acts on threats to assassinate him.
Trump further claimed that orders have been issued and the U.S. military is ready to “completely decimate and destroy” all areas of Iran, a status intended to last for one year, subject to extension.
These comments follow Trump’s assertion that the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran is “OVER,” despite his agreement to continue diplomatic talks with Tehran.
During the recent NATO summit, Trump expressed frustration with the diplomatic process, characterizing continued engagement with Iran as a “waste of time”.
Iranian Response and Diplomatic Status
Iran has rejected Trump’s allegations, asserting that it has remained fully committed to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) while accusing the United States of multiple violations.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi specifically accused the U.S. of violating “Paragraph Nine” of the MoU, which prohibits new sanctions and additional military deployments while Iran maintains its current nuclear programme status.
Despite the heightened rhetoric, diplomatic efforts persist; a Qatari delegation has arrived in Tehran to mediate following a recent exchange of strikes between the two nations.
While direct negotiations have been absent since last month, indirect talks continue to be facilitated by mediators, though no significant breakthroughs have been achieved to date.
