Rufai Oseni Puts Suspension Rumours To Rest, Confirms Scheduled Leave.
Arise TV journalist Rufai Oseni has dismissed circulating reports claiming that he was suspended from the station. Addressing the rumours on his account on Friday, Oseni clarified that he is on a scheduled leave, which was publicly announced on Arise TV weeks ago.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
“The lies and fabrications are terrible. Social media na wa,” he wrote, describing the suspension claims as completely unfounded. He further reassured his followers, saying, “I have worked for about a year, and I decided to go on leave. After I rest small, I go return. I love you all.”
Oseni noted that his leave officially began two weeks ago on a Thursday and was announced during the station’s broadcast. “At the start of my leave on Thursday last two weeks, it was announced on TV I went on leave. Empirical facts dey, so data bois that lied about suspension una jam Zuma rock,” he tweeted.
In a related post, Oseni provided insight into the salaries of Nigerian ambassadors following President Bola Tinubu’s submission of 32 new ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for screening. According to him, ambassadorial salaries are determined under the Consolidated Diplomatic, Consular and Foreign Service Cadre Salary Structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He explained that ambassadors are generally assigned to the top grade level, GL 17, and receive various allowances when posted abroad. While the basic pay may not be as high compared to other countries, Oseni noted that allowances constitute a significant portion of the overall compensation package.
