Olamide recounted his long-standing collaboration with Wizkid, which began in 2011, and explained that their joint projects showcased Wizkid’s consistent growth in the music industry. He highlighted Wizkid’s contribution to spreading Afrobeats to new international audiences, which he believes sets him apart.

The declaration drew enthusiastic applause from the students present. Olamide remarked, “I’ve had the privilege of working with Wizkid; we’ve made many songs together. After Fela, Wizkid is the greatest Afrobeats artiste ever.”

This statement follows Olamide’s recent reflection on the influence of the late rapper DaGrin, whose 2009 album C.E.O he described as timeless and inspiring to many Nigerian artistes.
