Tinubu Salutes Dabiri-Erewa’s Legacy Of Service, Calls Her A Beacon Of Patriotism.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Hon. According to Nivo News, the President, in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa for her exceptional contributions to nation-building through her decades of service in journalism, legislation, and diaspora engagement.
Tinubu fondly recalled her early years as a journalist with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where she earned nationwide admiration for professionalism, integrity, and empathy. He also highlighted her remarkable tenure as a three-term member of the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2011, during which she chaired the House Committees on Media and Publicity, as well as Diaspora Affairs.
The President commended the NIDCOM boss for her steadfast commitment to the welfare of Nigerians across the world and for fostering stronger ties between Nigeria and its global diaspora community. He lauded her leadership, which he said has elevated Nigeria’s image internationally and attracted diaspora talents to contribute meaningfully to key sectors such as education, healthcare, and sports.
“Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa has demonstrated love for the country and humanity over many years by consistently placing the welfare and well-being of the underprivileged at the centre of her work,” the President stated.
Tinubu further applauded her passion, foresight, and diligence in steering NIDCOM, noting that her visionary approach has continued to advance the cause of national development. He added that the numerous awards and recognitions she has received are well-deserved reflections of her enduring service and commitment to social justice.
