Deadly Ambush As Boko Haram Kills Four Security Personnel In Borno

According to Nivo News, four security personnel—comprising a soldier, a mobile police officer, and two members of the Civilian Joint Task Force—were killed in a suspected Boko Haram attack on farmers in Dalori Gari, a community located about 12 kilometres from Maiduguri, Borno State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The assault reportedly occurred on Monday morning as troops provided cover for local farmers heading to their fields. Security and community sources indicated that the attackers arrived on motorcycles, then proceeded on foot to ambush the group.

“They opened fire immediately after encountering the farmers escorted by the security personnel, killing four of them on the spot,” one source disclosed.

The assailants were also said to have abducted an unspecified number of farmers, including women and young girls. Several others were injured or captured while attempting to flee the scene.

Although officials have not released an official casualty figure, the Borno State Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Daso, confirmed that the slain soldier and mobile police officer were attached to the Northeast Joint Taskforce, Operation Hadin Kai. “As such, I cannot comment further on the incident,” he stated.
