ADC Sends Chilling Warning to APC: We’re the Storm You Didn’t See Coming!
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against dismissing its growing political influence.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement to The Punch, the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, reacted to claims that the ruling APC had downplayed the ADC’s relevance due to its lack of state governors. Abdullahi warned that underestimating the opposition coalition would be a costly mistake.
He emphasized that the ADC remains focused on nation-building and offering Nigerians a credible alternative.
“It’s fine. Let them keep underrating us. When we first launched, they said we were dead on arrival. When we unveiled our coalition, they said we wouldn’t last six months. So let them keep underestimating us—it works in our favour,” Abdullahi said.
“But we’re not making the same mistake. We don’t take the challenges ahead lightly. What we’re trying to do is bigger than any one of us. It’s not just about winning the 2027 elections or seizing power. It’s about rebuilding Nigeria on solid foundations. So we are fully aware of the enormity of what lies ahead.”
He further revealed that the party had begun attracting new members even before launching its full-scale membership drive.
“We’re not focused on targeting a specific number right now. What matters is that once our structures are fully established across the states, you’ll see an aggressive membership campaign,” he said. “Even without that, I can already tell you that people are joining the ADC in droves every day.”
Abdullahi stressed that the ADC stands out as the only true alternative for Nigerians fed up with the hardship under the current administration.
“Any Nigerian of voting age who is disillusioned with the present state of the country is welcome to join us. Whether they’re from PDP, NNPP, APC, or any other party—they’re all welcome,” he added. “We are a coalition, and our doors are open. The only condition is that anyone who joins must align with the core values and principles of the ADC.”
