In a recent post on (formerly Twitter), a fan recounted Mr P’s journey, highlighting how many had once dismissed him as merely a dancer and doubted his ability to sing. The fan praised Mr P for proving his critics wrong and becoming a successful artist in his own right.
“They once said he couldn’t sing, that he was only good at dancing. Now, he sings better than most. False narrative,” the fan wrote.
Responding to the comment, Mr P used the opportunity to offer motivational advice to his followers. He stressed the importance of self-worth and urged people to walk away from environments where they are undervalued or disrespected.
“But sadly, most people fall for it,” he wrote. “In this life, always know your worth. Don’t settle for less, and never stay where you’re not valued or respected. Respect yourself enough to leave any place where your efforts are not appreciated. #TheyLied.”
Meanwhile, award-winning rapper MI Abaga has shared personal insights into his emotional journey before marriage.
Speaking during an interview on the Jay On Air Podcast, MI revealed that he struggled with the pressure of being unmarried at 37, especially as many of his friends had tied the knot in their twenties and were already raising teenagers.
The ‘Bad Belle’ rapper admitted to feeling regret at one point, but said his perspective shifted when he met his now-wife shortly before turning 40, after ending a previous relationship.
According to MI, the experience taught him a valuable life lesson:
“Everyone has their own timeline. The most important thing is being truly ready. That’s what makes a relationship work.”
