He Wanted Me to Heal Him” – Adeboye Exposes Secret Invitation From Terminally Ill President
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed why he turned down a personal invitation from an African president who was seeking divine healing for an undisclosed illness.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Adeboye, the ailing head of state had exhausted all medical options without success and was subsequently advised to reach out to him after hearing testimonies of miraculous healings linked to his ministry.
The revered clergyman said the president contacted one of RCCG’s pastors in the nation’s capital with an urgent request for him (Adeboye) to visit. However, he respectfully declined, stressing that he places his commitment to God above the demands of any individual—regardless of status.
Pastor Adeboye shared this account during his sermon at the July Holy Ghost Service, held on Friday evening at the Redemption City of God in Mowe, Ogun State.
He said, “I recall the case of a certain African head of state who had a medical condition that defied all treatments. He somehow heard about a man of God who could help, and instructed our pastor in his country’s capital, saying, ‘Send for your General Overseer.’
“When the pastor relayed the message, I told him to inform His Excellency that I was unavailable. I didn’t want to go into details, but in truth, there is an Excellency far greater than any earthly one, and I was busy with His work.”
Adeboye further noted that he advised the pastor to let the president know that his calendar had been filled for an entire year.
“Eventually, when the situation became critical, the president decided to come to the Redemption Camp himself. And on the very day he arrived, God resolved the issue,” he added.
In a related message during the same sermon, Pastor Adeboye cautioned against the dangers of anger, describing it as “temporary madness.”
He said no amount of verbal provocation could upset him, despite being subjected to countless criticisms over time.
“People can say all sorts of things about me, but I won’t respond in anger. Some are deliberately trying to provoke me, waiting for me to lose control—but they’ll keep waiting. I know where I’m going, and I will get there,” he said.
He urged his congregation to maintain self-control in the face of provocation, warning that unchecked anger has the potential to derail one’s destiny.
“Anger is temporary insanity. If you allow it, you risk losing everything. Stay calm and don’t fall into the trap set by others,” Adeboye advised.
