Enough is Enough! Cleric Calls on FG to Rescue Benue from Endless Violence
The President of Faith Women Fellowship Ministry International and wife of the late Chief Judge of Benue State, Evangelist Lydia Idoko, has emphasized the urgent need for sustained intercession to restore peace in Benue communities, Nigeria, and across the world.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during a special two-day intercessory programme held at the ministry’s headquarters in Makurdi, Idoko highlighted the worsening insecurity in Yelwata and other parts of Benue State, urging believers to stand in the gap through fervent prayer.
The event, themed “Standing in the Gap”, was titled “A Powerful 2-Day Prayer for Global Peace.” Drawing from Ezekiel 22, Evangelist Idoko called on Christians to rise as intercessors for a troubled world, stressing that spiritual intervention remains the most effective path to healing and national restoration.
“This gathering is a divine response to the urgent need to pray for Benue State, Nigeria, and the Middle East,” she said. “Our prayer is for God to touch the hearts of those behind the violence, that they may drop their swords and embrace peace.”
Describing prayer as a powerful expression of love, empathy, and faith, she noted that it can transform individuals, leaders, and entire communities. “In times of crisis, uncertainty, and triumph, we are called to lift our voices in intercession—for our leaders, families, youths, widows, and the vulnerable,” she said.
According to her, prayer is not merely a ritual but a divine channel for healing, comfort, and strength. “It is my earnest desire that our intercession will serve as God’s tool to bring restoration and peace to our leaders, our families, our nation, and the world.”
Evangelist Idoko also prayed for a rise in sincere intercessors who would pray not for personal gain, but with genuine hearts focused on national and global healing.
Lamenting the role of sycophants in the nation’s woes, she noted that such individuals often mislead those in power through poor counsel, thereby compounding Nigeria’s challenges. “You’re remembered in life for either the problems you solved or the ones you created. Jesus came to solve problems. That should be our model,” she stated.
She added that many leaders are derailed by those around them. “Sycophants misguide our leaders. But we, the people, must also examine ourselves because we often contribute to the corruption of leadership. That’s why both the leaders and the citizens need prayer.”
She advised Nigerians to avoid casting blame and instead embrace the biblical mandate to pray for those in authority. “Even at the family level, leadership is not easy. Leaders need our prayers so they can live godly, impactful lives,” she said.
Quoting Matthew 7:12, she urged citizens to treat others as they wish to be treated, warning against blackmail, exaggeration, and actions that further destabilize the country. “We’ve asked God for mercy and forgiveness. Now we must align our thinking with His will.”
Concluding her message, Evangelist Idoko affirmed that God has not abandoned Nigeria. “Throughout history, every generation faces challenges. But in times like these, we must seek God’s face for intervention rather than merely dissect how the problems began.”

“FIFA’s Radical 2030 Vision: Massive 64-Team World Cup Expansion On The Table!”.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has revealed that the governing body is exploring the possibility of expanding the 2030 World Cup to include 64 teams. This potential shift follows the recent expansion from 32 to 48 teams for the 2026 tournament, which increased the match count to 104. Infantino advocates for this change to provide smaller footballing nations with greater opportunities to qualify, arguing that increased representation motivates countries to invest in their local leagues, academies, and national programs. While the proposal remains subject to approval by FIFA’s decision-making bodies, it aims to narrow the competitive gap between traditional powerhouses and emerging teams. The 2030 event, which commemorates the tournament’s centenary, is already unique for being hosted by six countries across three continents: Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
FIFA is considering a massive shake-up for the 2030 World Cup, with President Gianni Infantino hinting at a potential expansion to 64 teams. Building on the success of the 48-team format introduced for 2026, Infantino believes that giving more countries a seat at the table is essential for the global development of the sport. He noted that under the current expanded format, teams from all continents have proven their competitiveness, suggesting that the divide between established nations and newcomers is shrinking. If approved, this 64-team structure would be implemented for a historic tournament already set to span three continents and six host nations to celebrate the competition’s 100th anniversary. FIFA is currently evaluating the logistical and financial implications of such an expansion before making a final decision.
