Presidential Compassion: Tinubu Visits Benue Attack Survivors, Vows Justice

Arriving at the Tactical Air Command of the Nigerian Air Force Base in Makurdi at approximately 12:58 p.m., President Bola Tinubu proceeded straight to the hospital where survivors of the recent massacre in Yelewata community are receiving treatment.
After his visit to the victims, the President moved to the new Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, where he held a closed-door meeting with key stakeholders to deliberate on the persistent wave of violence plaguing the state.
The meeting is part of broader efforts to devise lasting solutions to the ongoing crisis affecting several rural communities in Benue. Tinubu is also scheduled to meet with bereaved families, displaced residents, injured victims, and local leaders affected by the attacks.
In attendance at the high-level meeting are Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, governors from the North-Central zone, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, alongside other senior government officials.
