BREAKING: Plateau Christian Leader Dies Mysteriously After Brief Illness
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State Chapter, Rev. Fr. Polycarp Lubo, has passed away.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
It was gathered that Rev. Lubo died in the early hours of Sunday at an undisclosed hospital in Jos, following a brief illness reportedly linked to an accident he suffered last week.
Multiple sources confirmed the news of his death to our correspondent in Jos on Sunday.
Further confirmation came through an official condolence message issued by the Archdiocesan Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Jos, Rev. Fr. Daniel Gyang.
The statement, titled “Obituary Announcement,” extended heartfelt condolences to Fr. Lubo’s immediate family, the Plateau CAN community, Catholic clergy, and the broader religious fraternity.
“With deep sorrow but total submission to the will of God, we announce the passing into eternal glory of Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Polycarp Lubo, who departed in the early hours of Sunday, June 15, 2025,” the statement read.
“The Archbishop extends his sympathies to his immediate family, CAN Plateau State Chapter, the presbyterium of Jos, parishioners of St. William’s Parish, Zawan—where he served as Parish Priest and Dean—and all the religious and lay faithful of the Archdiocese. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace through the mercy of God.”
