Fubara Unveils Leaked Chats, Accuses Nwaeke of Being Paid to Sabotage His Reputation
Sim Fubara, the suspended Governor of Rivers State, has revealed private conversations between the former Head of Service (HoS), George Nwaeke, and Chief of Staff, Ederson Ehie, to support his claim that Nwaeke may have been bribed or coerced into making false statements about him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a recent statement, Nwaeke credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state of emergency declaration for preventing what he described as a potential collapse in the state, accusing Fubara of being the mastermind behind the political unrest. He further claimed that Fubara was responsible for the destruction of public property, with intentions that could have led to anarchy.
Nwaeke also clarified that his resignation from office was voluntary, not forced. However, Fubara quickly dismissed these allegations as laughable, urging Nigerians to ignore them. He further accused Nwaeke of being compromised, asserting that the former HoS’s remarks were a result of an arrangement with those who may have either bribed or pressured him to speak against him.
Screenshots of WhatsApp conversations sent by Fubara to Channels Television reveal that Nwaeke had reached out to Ehie seeking financial assistance, citing his ₦500,000 monthly salary as insufficient to cover his expenses, and offering his loyalty in return for financial support.
