The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not acknowledge these black market rates, and it encourages individuals looking to exchange foreign currency to approach their respective banks for official transactions.
For comparison, the official CBN rates are slightly lower, with the highest rate set at ₦1537 and the lowest at ₦1528. However, actual exchange rates may differ depending on the specific bank or Forex dealer.
In addition, the demand for foreign currencies like the U.S. Dollar continues to rise, which contributes to the fluctuation of the Naira in the parallel market.
