Nigeria: Job Seekers Slam FIRS for Controversial Hiring Process
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) faces backlash for its controversial recruitment process, which requires a password for application access. Critics allege the hiring is a ruse, claiming positions were already filled in August.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has come under fire from Nigerians after its recent recruitment announcement sparked controversy. Last week, FIRS revealed it was hiring for the first time but failed to provide a direct application link. This prompted frustration among job seekers, who were left wondering how to apply.
The following day, a link was released, but it required a password for access. Once tech-savvy individuals managed to uncover the password —”FIRS@Password123″—the website was taken offline, leading many to suspect foul play. It appears that some privileged applicants, who reportedly had access to the password, managed to submit their applications before the site became unstable.
Critics are now alleging that the recruitment drive is merely a façade, claiming that FIRS had already filled the positions back in August and that this exercise is just a cover for documentation purposes. Despite the backlash, FIRS representatives assert that the website will soon be operational again and that the password issue was merely a glitch.
