Former governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has made it clear he will no longer support the political career of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. During an interview on Channels Television on Friday, Wike expressed his disappointment in Fubara and outlined the reasons for his decision.
“I will never support Fubara in my political life again. Anybody who knows me understands it’s not about me. People worked hard to build a structure,” Wike stated.
Wike emphasized the efforts he made to secure Fubara’s political position, including sacrifices to garner support from key communities. “People laboured; you wouldn’t have even taken the 50th position. I sacrificed to talk to the Ogonis; I sacrificed to talk to several other people who agreed with us. But now, you’ve turned it into accusations that I’m asking for N50 billion, N100 billion,” he lamented.
Wike also expressed frustration at being portrayed as overly demanding, adding, “What is Wike demanding? In every political family, people run elections and work together. We must maintain our political structure.”
Regarding allegations that his fallout with Fubara is causing developmental setbacks in Rivers State, Wike denied any interference with the state’s governance. He explained, “What is causing the setback? I’m not interfering with governance. I don’t want to be there. I had no crisis with anyone during my time as governor. I survived it.”

In a viral video detailing the incident, Sandra explained that hours after participating in the morning service, taking communion, and paying her regular offering, she attempted to fund a voucher purchase by transferring N1,640,200 to her personal Zenith Bank account. Instead, the heavy sum was erroneously sent to the church account.
Making a public appeal to anyone with contacts at Streams of Joy International, the single mother of two stressed that the funds do not belong to her and that the rightful owners have already begun demanding the money.
