The Kano State Government has officially set Sunday, September 15, 2024, as the new resumption date for all boarding public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state. Day schools will open the following day, Monday, September 16, 2024.

This announcement comes after the state Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Doguwa, previously postponed the school resumption date on Saturday, September 7. In a statement issued on Thursday by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Balarabe Kiru, parents and guardians were urged to take note of the updated schedule to ensure compliance.

The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe and orderly school environment. Parents and guardians are encouraged to remind their children not to bring any illegal items, such as knives or razors, to school, and to follow all school rules and regulations.

The Kano State Government, under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Yusuf, is dedicated to providing quality education for every child. A statement from the government reiterated this commitment, highlighting efforts to create a conducive learning environment that will inspire and empower students to excel academically.
