A tragic confrontation unfolded in the Ijegun area of Lagos State on September 9, 2024, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Faroul Azeez. The incident involved 19-year-old Fatimo Agboke, who has been accused of fatally stabbing her neighbor’s son during an altercation.

State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the details of the incident. The conflict reportedly escalated into violence when Agboke allegedly seized a broken bottle and stabbed Azeez in the neck.

Efforts to rush Azeez to the hospital for emergency medical treatment were tragically unsuccessful, as he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Hundeyin stated, “On September 9, 2024, a complaint was received from the Ijegun area of the state, reported at Isheri-Oshun Division by a man that a neighbour had an argument with his son.”

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found Azeez’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood, with a deep cut on his neck. His remains were subsequently taken to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for an autopsy.
