Asue Ighodalo’s role in this saga is equally troubling. His passive approach and failure to assert leadership while Obaseki dismantled alliances and trust is indicative of poor judgment and ineffectiveness. Ighodalo’s potential to inherit the governorship would likely continue Obaseki’s legacy of chaos and dysfunction.
Edo State deserves better leadership than the failed promises of Obaseki and the uninspired potential of Ighodalo. Voters should turn to Monday Okpebholo, whose humility and vision for unity offer a promising alternative.
