Korede Bello Opens Up About Leaving Mavins Records....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Nigerian singer Korede Bello has candidly shared his reasons for departing from Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records, a label he signed with in February 2014 and left in 2021. In a recent interview with Hip TV, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Korede revealed the personal journey that led to his decision.
Reflecting on his time at Mavins Records, Korede expressed feeling like “a product” whose primary purpose was to generate revenue. He explained that he reached a pivotal moment in his life where he needed to undergo a transformation, allowing him to explore his inner worth and engage in deep introspection.
Korede stated, “I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why.” This realization prompted him to reassess his priorities and artistic direction.
The singer further elaborated on the pressures faced by artists in the industry, noting how the constant pursuit of hits can lead to losing sight of what truly matters. “You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit, after the next whatever it is that can get you into conversations. So a lot of artists are addicted to that circle,” he remarked.
