Nigerian international music star, Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has made a generous donation of N105 million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin City, Edo State. This contribution comes as a heartfelt tribute to the church’s unwavering support during his childhood.

During his recent visit to Edo State for the celebration of Edo@33, Rema performed at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 6,000-capacity Edo Dome and held a musical concert at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, following an invitation from the state government.

The donation, presented to the Edo Regional Headquarters of Christ Embassy, located on Erediauwa Street off Ekenwa Road, symbolizes Rema’s appreciation for the church’s significant role in his life, particularly after the loss of his father when he was just eight years old.

At a thanksgiving service held at the church, Rema shared his personal story, recalling how the church helped his family during their most challenging times. “I am not here to give myself any form of accolades or glory but to give God the glory,” he stated. Rema expressed his gratitude, noting that the church’s pastors, Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, opened a shop for his mother to help support the family after his father’s passing.

“After losing my dad, we felt very lost and abandoned. All that we had were taken from us, and we felt alone. The church was there for us,” Rema added.

In a spirit of giving, Rema pledged a total of N150 million, detailing how the funds will be allocated: N40 million for infrastructural development, N20 million for the Rhapsody of Realities publication, and N25 million for the church’s teen ministry. Additionally, he announced a pledge of N20 million to assist widows in attendance during the service.

Odumodublvck made the claim during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he discussed the challenges of producing commercially successful music.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The rapper explained that achieving a hit song is not an easy task, noting that some artistes go through their entire careers without recording one.

He, however, commended Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for their consistent run of hit songs over the years, saying their achievements deserve recognition.

“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.

“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years.

“You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Odumodublvck has also recounted a warning he allegedly received from popular cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, better known as Odumeje, following a vision the clergyman claimed to have had about him.

The rapper shared the revelation on his X page while discussing his faith and what he described as his battle against darkness.

According to Odumodublvck, Odumeje contacted him and disclosed that he had seen a vision in which some people were allegedly planning to detain and poison him.

The rapper said the warning did not frighten him, insisting that he was protected by the blood of Christ.

He further disclosed that Odumeje had urged him not to worry, saying people would not understand what was happening.

Expressing confidence in his faith, Odumodublvck declared that victory was assured and maintained that God would protect him from dark forces.

He wrote: “Odumeje called me. He said, ‘I saw in a vision that they wanted to detain you and poison you.’ My God will never let me die. This is what it means to go against the world of darkness. Unfortunately, I am fortified with the blood of Christ. He said, ‘Do not worry, they will not understand.’ Victory is assured. Amen.”

IVD has faced sustained criticism on social media following the death of his wife, who died from injuries sustained in a house fire after a reported altercation with him at their matrimonial home in October 2022.

About six months after Bimbo’s death, the auto dealer made his relationship with controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, public.

Reflecting on his experiences over the past few years, the auto dealer described the period as “five years of endless battle”.

He also asked anyone who had been hurt by his actions to extend forgiveness to him.

IVD wrote:

“To my family, friends and business partners, it’s been 5 years of endless battle, also trying to retract all my mistakes. I pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness. In any way I’ve hurt anyone, I pray for forgiveness.

“I’m only human, am not a perfect person, I have prayed for God’s forgiveness and for him to show me mercy like the Lord said there is time for everything. Time to reflect and time to focus.”
