Nigerian-Canadian Woman Sparks Outrage with Threats Against Yoruba and Benin People, Claims Immunity Due to Canadian Citizenship....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Amaka Patience Sunnberger, a Nigerian woman based in Canada, has ignited a firestorm of outrage after her threats to poison and kill Yoruba and Benin people went viral. In a defiant response, Amaka has boldly claimed that she faces no consequences for her actions because she is a Canadian citizen.

In a recent audio clip that has since gone viral, Amaka confidently dismissed any concerns about potential arrest or deportation, mocking those who believed she could be punished. “Somebody just sent me a message saying they have arrested me and are about to deport me. With my passport? I am a Canadian. Mad people!” she exclaimed during a TikTok live session.

She further ridiculed the idea of deportation, asking how it would be possible when she holds a Canadian passport. To support her claims, Amaka shared a video showing her living room, asserting that she was at home and not in police custody, directly countering rumors of her arrest.

The situation escalated when the Nigerian House of Representatives took formal action against Amaka. On August 28, 2024, the House submitted a petition to His Excellency James Christoff, the High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria. The petition, signed by Mr. Biodun Omoleye, Chairman of the Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Mr. Tochukwu Chinedu Okere, Chairman of the House Committee on Diaspora Matters, calls for the Canadian government to prosecute Sunnberger.

The petition follows a disturbing TikTok live video in which Sunnberger incited violence against Yoruba and Benin people. In the video, she advocated for the poisoning of food and water sources as a method of mass killing and urged people from the South-East region of Nigeria, particularly the Igbo, to take a militant stance against Yoruba and Benin communities.

According to him, the situation has heightened awareness among citizens, leading to increased political participation and a steady influx of new members into the party.

Abdullahi stated that the surge in registrations became noticeable after INEC’s decision affecting David Mark, noting that many Nigerians now have a clearer understanding of ongoing political developments.

The development comes amid an ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC, with factions led by Nafiu Bala and David Mark both laying claim to the party’s structure.

The dispute, which dates back to July 2025 following the emergence of an opposition coalition, has resulted in prolonged legal battles.

Citing a March 12 judgment of the Court of Appeal, INEC announced that it would not recognise either faction, a position conveyed in a statement by its National Commissioner for Information and Voter Education, Mohammed Haruna.

The electoral body added that it would refrain from engaging with both groups, including participation in their meetings, congresses, or conventions, pending the outcome of a case before a Federal High Court.
