Femi Bamisile, a member of the House of Representatives, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Diran Adesua, a two-time Commissioner in Ekiti State.

Adesua, who hailed from Omuo Ekiti and served as Commissioner for Works and the Ministry of Physical and Urban Development under various administrations, passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.

In a condolence message released on Monday, Bamisile described Adesua’s unexpected death as extremely devastating and saddening, having closely collaborated with him in the political arena within the progressive fold.

Bamisile, representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, hailed Adesua as a steadfast and dependable progressive politician, whose contributions to the state’s development through his various roles would be fondly remembered.

He highlighted Adesua’s pivotal role in the formation of the progressive party in Ekiti State alongside other members of the defunct Alliance for Democracy during the advent of democracy in 1999 as one of his most significant political achievements.

According to Bamisile, Adesua was not only a highly resourceful politician but also a leader who valued self-respect and integrity, earning the respect of APC members both in his council and across the state.

Bamisile extended his condolences to Adesua’s family, political partners, allies, party leaders, and the people of Ekiti State over the loss of this esteemed and respectable politician.

“My heartfelt sympathies go to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the Olomuo in Council, and all APC members across the state, who regarded Diran Adesua as a leader and a reliable figure with a stable character.

“Though his sudden death brings immense sadness, we should find solace in the fact that he lived a positively impactful and memorable life. This should console us all.

“May the good Lord grant him eternal rest and provide for the family he left behind,” Bamisile concluded.

He also urged residents, especially affected families, not to allow their pain to be used for political gains, insisting it is unjust to associate Saraki with the crime.
