Kana emphasized that the primary election in Edo State has concluded, with Senator Monday Okpebholo emerging as the party’s candidate. He assured that any issues arising from the primary have been internally resolved by the party, with the intervention of President Bola Tinubu.
He stated, “The Edo primary has come and gone and we are preparing for the governorship election. The party in Edo State has elected a candidate who bears our flag at the moment.”
Kana further noted that while there were initial legal challenges, they have since been withdrawn, and there are no ongoing legal disputes regarding the election.
