Oba Adetona College Of Governance Set To Affiliate With NIPSS – Governor Abiodun
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has revealed plans to affiliate the Oba Sikiru Adetona College of Governance with the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, for the purpose of training senior government officials.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking at the 90th birthday and 64th coronation anniversary thanksgiving of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, held at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour in Ijebu-Ode, Governor Abiodun announced that Permanent Secretaries from the state would be the initial beneficiaries of this initiative, which is the brainchild of the Awujale.

Furthermore, Governor Abiodun disclosed that he had sought and obtained President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval to grant the College full status as a campus of the NIPSS.

“I have further made a case to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to allow Baba’s school of Governance to become a campus of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru, a request that Mr. President has graciously approved,” stated Governor Abiodun.

Governor Abiodun praised Oba Adetona as a living legend and a monumental success in his reign, emphasizing his contributions to governance and education. He highlighted the monarch’s establishment of the Oba Sikiru Adetona Professorial Chair in Governance at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, which led to the creation of the Oba Sikiru Adetona School of Governance, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Governor also commended Oba Adetona’s efforts in poverty eradication through the Ijebu Development Board, which has become a national model.

In his sermon titled “Serve the Lord with Gladness,” Most Reverend Dr. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo emphasized the importance of serving God faithfully in leadership positions, calling for a national rebirth starting from the family unit to restore the nation’s lost glory.

The Most Reverend Ademowo praised Oba Adetona as a unifier and a mentor whose reign has been marked by monumental achievements, noting his impact on countless lives through various endowment programs.
