Fubara Asserts Stability In Rivers State Amid Political Pressure
Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has affirmed that the state is not embroiled in any crisis. Instead, he emphasized his administration’s unwavering focus on delivering effective governance to the people of Rivers State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking during a meeting with members of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Fubara expressed confidence that political pressures would only serve to strengthen his administration’s dedication to public service.

“As far as we are concerned, there are no political issues. I recall a movie I watched years ago, titled ‘Devil’s Advocate.’ One of the characters, Al Pacino, mentioned that pressure can either cause people to falter or to become more determined to succeed. We have chosen to remain focused amidst this pressure,” Fubara stated.

He further emphasized the administration’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the people of Rivers State, emphasizing that governance is about addressing the fundamental needs of the populace rather than self-interest.

“Our focus is on meeting the essential needs of the people we lead, and with the grace of God, we are accomplishing this,” Fubara added.

Following Fubara’s assumption of office as governor, tensions arose between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Speculations suggest that their discord revolves around political and financial control of the state.

Despite a peace pact brokered by President Bola Tinubu, aimed at resolving their differences, the rift between the two leaders persists, albeit against the backdrop of the state’s stability asserted by Governor Fubara.

“We are more… we’re quiet in the sense that we don’t say who we are… the results are just the ones speaking for themselves: the sale of this business, the profit of this, the EBITDA, our growth… numbers don’t lie.”Halima Dangote
