EFCC Secures Warrant For Yahaya Bello’s Arrest....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has obtained a warrant for the arrest of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello. This warrant, granted by Justice Emeka Nwite at the Federal High Court in Abuja, paves the way for Bello’s arraignment scheduled for Thursday.

However, a Kogi State High Court in Lokoja has issued a restraining order against the EFCC, preventing them from arresting, detaining, or prosecuting Bello. This directive, issued by Hon. Justice I.A Jamil, comes as a response to Bello’s plea to enforce his fundamental rights against the anti-graft agency.

The court order restrains the EFCC from infringing on Bello’s fundamental human rights unless authorized by the court, building upon an earlier interim injunction. Additionally, the court bars the respondents from continuing to persecute the applicant.
