In his address, Tinubu emphasized the importance of sustaining the virtues of Ramadan beyond the fasting period, calling for religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians. He urged Muslims to continue displaying empathy and love, emphasizing the significance of charity and compassion towards the less fortunate.
“We should sustain good behavior, though Ramadan is over; We have no business fighting one another; We should have religious harmony,” Tinubu remarked, highlighting the need for unity and compassion in the society.
The Grand Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheik Sulaiman Abou Nolla, echoed similar sentiments during the prayer session, emphasizing the blessings of fasting and the importance of unity among Nigerians. He stressed that togetherness and unity in diversity are essential for national development.
