President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a heartfelt plea to all citizens, urging them to come together and rededicate themselves to the noble task of nation-building. In his Eid-el-Fitr message to the Muslim community, marking the end of Ramadan, the president underscored that as architects of our nation’s destiny, we hold the power to mold Nigeria according to our collective aspirations.
Emphasizing the significance of this sacred period, President Tinubu highlighted the importance of surrendering completely to God’s will and serving humanity through selfless sacrifice. He called for a concerted effort to foster unity and harmony among all Nigerians, transcending differences. The president stressed that by working together, we can surmount challenges and forge a prosperous nation for future generations.
In his message to Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide, President Tinubu expressed his hope that Almighty Allah would reward their prayers and sacrifices not only during Ramadan but also in the days ahead. The president’s spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed this message in a statement on Tuesday.
President Tinubu extended his heartfelt wishes for a joyous and blessed Eid-el-Fitr celebration, urging everyone to internalize the valuable lessons learned during this auspicious season.
Calls for Continued Prayer and Unity
In a separate message, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, urged Muslims to maintain the virtues and lessons imbibed during the month-long Ramadan fast. He encouraged the Muslim faithful to pray fervently for Allah’s acceptance of their supplications, prayers, and good deeds.
Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu, urged Muslims to offer additional prayers for Nigeria’s growth. In their respective Sallah messages, the Speaker emphasized the importance of reflecting on Ramadan’s teachings and expressed confidence that Allah has answered their prayers.
The Deputy Speaker urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to persist in their prayers for national unity, peaceful coexistence, and progress. He also called for unwavering support for the country’s leadership, assuring citizens that Nigeria will soon attain the desired level of greatness.
