In a distressing turn of events, a nursing mother identified as Mrs. Adenike Samuel and her three-day-old baby are being held at Montana Medical Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, due to unpaid hospital bills amounting to N300,000…….READ ALSO

Mrs. Samuel, who was discharged from the hospital on April 1, remains confined along with her newborn as her husband struggles to settle the outstanding bill. The total bill incurred during her stay at the hospital was reported to be N400,000, with only N100,000 paid by her husband, leaving a balance of N300,000.

The situation is compounded by the fact that Mrs. Samuel underwent a Caesarean Section (CS) delivery, contributing to the higher medical expenses.

Sharing her plight, Mrs. Samuel, a resident of Baba Agba, Wire and Cable, Apata, appealed to the public, including well-meaning individuals and Governor Seyi Makinde, for financial assistance during this challenging time.

Her husband, Happiness Samuel, a commercial motorcyclist, expressed the dire financial strain the family is facing, emphasizing the difficulty of raising the remaining balance amidst the prevailing economic challenges in the country.
