The circular emphasizes that teachers interested in availing themselves of the extended retirement age must adhere to specific guidelines. These include being within the education cadre recognized in the scheme of service and being registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Additionally, applicants must be medically fit, as confirmed by a qualified medical doctor, and must not be under any disciplinary action.
