According to reports from a local resident named Istifanus, the assailants struck the village on Saturday morning, launching a brazen attack and firing shots indiscriminately. The intensity of the assault forced many villagers to flee to neighboring communities in search of safety.
As the chaos ensued, former council boss Cafra Caino expressed uncertainty about the exact number of casualties, emphasizing that residents fled for their lives during the attackers’ onslaught. The community, which had previously suffered a devastating attack in 2019 resulting in the loss of 74 lives, has unfortunately been subjected to recurring assaults in recent times.
