In an interview on Channels Television, Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the opposition party, reiterated this position.
Ologunagba affirmed that Wike is still affiliated with the PDP and has not defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Responding to concerns over Wike’s conduct during the 2023 presidential election and his alleged support for the Bola Tinubu administration, Ologunagba clarified that any action against the FCT minister would not be solely based on these grounds.
When asked about the possibility of suspending Wike, Ologunagba stated, “In simple terms, no. There is no fear regarding Wike.”
He further explained, “Membership in a political party is a personal decision. As far as I know, Nyesom Wike has not tendered his resignation from the PDP.
“Wike has been a valuable asset to our party. Challenges are not uncommon in politics, and we faced them before the general elections.
“However, his membership in the party remains intact as there has been no formal resignation. According to our records, Wike is still a member of the PDP.”

Many Nigerians who left with hopes for better opportunities are currently struggling, despite holding university degrees and earning in foreign currencies.
-
Due to labour market realities, many graduates abroad are working in roles outside their fields of study, such as in warehouses or care facilities.
-
Although migrants may earn thousands of pounds monthly, a significant portion of their income is consumed by essential costs like rent, bills, food, and transportation.
-
Because their earnings are often insufficient to cover these living expenses, many are forced to work multiple jobs just to survive.
-
Bwala noted that the pressure of living abroad often leaves migrants with little disposable income and no safety net, whereas those earning lower incomes in Nigeria can often rely on support from friends and family.
-
Bwala described this experience for many as “modern-day slavery,” arguing that those in Nigeria who believe they are suffering are often better off than those who left five years ago.
