Aiyedatiwa emphasized that his gubernatorial ambition extended beyond the mandate of his joint ticket with Akeredolu, focusing instead on a sincere mission to uplift Ondo State and improve the lives of its people.
Expressing confidence in securing the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in April and winning the forthcoming governorship election in November, Aiyedatiwa urged his supporters to remain steadfast, citing his conviction in the promise of God for victory.
He revealed Akeredolu’s prophetic insight during an executive council meeting after the late governor’s return from a medical vacation, where Akeredolu reportedly declared, “Look, Aiyedatiwa will emerge as the next governor.”
Dr. Oladipupo Okeyomi, the Convener of LACO-FS, further disclosed that over 250,000 campaigners, known as ‘Foot Soldiers,’ had been deployed across Ondo State’s 18 local government areas to ensure Aiyedatiwa’s success in both the primary and general elections.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described the claims as false, misleading, and intended to cause unnecessary confusion.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to its mission of unseating the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the ballot, stressing that it remains focused on delivering change.
Abdullahi assured that the ADC would field strong and qualified candidates in 2027, adding that the party is not distracted by rumours or political propaganda.
According to the statement, the ADC emphasized that it remains committed to rescuing Nigeria from what it described as the failures of the APC-led government and preventing the emergence of a one-party system.
The party also dismissed suggestions that it faces any legal barrier to participating in the elections, insisting it is fully compliant with the Constitution and the Electoral Act.
It further stated that preparations are already underway nationwide to mobilize Nigerians frustrated with insecurity, economic hardship, and lack of opportunities.
Reaffirming its position, the ADC described itself as a leading opposition force and urged supporters to ignore speculation about its electoral plans, stressing that its focus remains on building a winning structure for 2027
