Mr. Idris-Ahmad highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the agency, including the rehabilitation of 70 clients, investigation of 598 visa clearance applications, and the conduct of 245 substance abuse tests, with six individuals testing positive for different drug abuses. The command also engaged in public sensitization, reaching 5,000 individuals, and enlisted Drug Demand Reduction professionals who counseled 1,459 persons.
Furthermore, the NDLEA in Kano destroyed over 15 tons of assorted narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the course of the year. Emphasizing the commitment to community well-being and safety, Idris-Ahmad pledged to intensify efforts to dismantle drug networks, rehabilitate those in need, secure convictions, and eradicate illicit substances, ensuring no room for the flourishing of drug trade.
