APC Chairman Applauds Author For Documenting-Governor Sule’s Progress In Nasarawa State (Details)
The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, revealed on Saturday in Lafia that he decided to step back from active politics in the country due to a growing aversion to political activities. In his remarks about the book, which comprises 230 pages and 23 chapters, the former APC national chairman, also the first civilian governor of the state, commended the author for documenting the governor’s accomplishments since taking office. Adamu acknowledged the governor’s efforts in building upon the achievements of his predecessors and urged the state’s residents to continue supporting and praying for the governor and his cabinet to deliver democratic dividends.
Adamu expressed, “I am not only a retiree but I am out of politics. I’m beginning to develop little allergies for political activities now and political speeches.” He refrained from making political statements, emphasizing the need for further support for the governor.
Senator Aliyu Wadada, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, praised the governor for attracting investors to the state, including notable companies like Dangote, Flour Mill, and Asma Rice. He highlighted the potential employment opportunities and increased state revenue that would result from the operationalization of these companies.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, in his address, commended the author for recognizing his efforts in developing the state and attracting investors. The governor announced plans to construct 15 kilometers of road in each of the 13 Local Government Areas and disclosed the payment of counterpart funds for 2023 to the Universal Basic Education Commission, with over 140 schools set to be constructed.
Governor Sule pledged to undertake projects that directly impact the lives of the people, as well as invest in training and retraining the workforce for optimal performance. The author, Abdullahi Tanimu, a physically challenged individual, explained that his motivation to write the book stemmed from the governor’s inclusive leadership style. Tanimu conducted extensive fieldwork, capturing images and interacting with communities to showcase the governor’s impactful projects.
