He spoke in Jos during the commencement of palliative distribution by the organization supporting Tinubu in Plateau State.
Adeyeye lamented the economic damage inflicted on Nigeria by past administrations, making it challenging for the present government. Despite the difficulties, he asserted that President Bola Tinubu, focused on liberating Nigerians from hardship, particularly through the removal of fuel subsidies.
“The present government led by President Bola Tinubu is not interested in painting the last government bad, but Nigeria would have grounded to a halt without fuel subsidy removal,” Adeyeye stated. He highlighted the financial complexities in the oil sector, clarifying that the money from oil sales had been collected before the current administration took office.
While acknowledging the tough situation, Adeyeye assured that President Tinubu was actively working to improve conditions for Nigerians. He urged the public to support Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda and emphasized that SWAGA’s support for his election was not in vain, expressing confidence that Tinubu would bring positive changes to Nigeria.
Adeyeye disclosed Tinubu’s plans for infrastructural development, such as the proposed light train from Abuja to Jos, with a promise of significant transformations within eight years. He asserted that the President was aware of the challenges faced, particularly the deteriorating state of roads nationwide, and was committed to addressing the destruction accumulated over the past forty years. Adeyeye concluded by expressing Tinubu’s determination to make bold decisions for the betterment of the country.
