President Bola Tinubu, on November 10, restated his dedication to the education sector by commissioning TETFUND blocks of classrooms and offices worth N1.12bn at the University of Ibadan and The Polytechnic Ibadan.
The projects include the construction of the Department of Architecture Building and blocks of offices and classrooms at the University of Ibadan, valued at N651.1m. Similar blocks of classrooms and offices for various faculties at The Polytechnic Ibadan were also commissioned.

Tinubu, represented by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, emphasized the importance of education in his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, promising continuous support for global competitiveness and technological advancement in the country’s educational institutions.
The Vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, commended TETFUND’s intervention, citing its positive impact on the department’s accreditation and requesting further support for the institution’s infrastructure.
The Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi, also praised TETFUND for its significant contributions to the institution’s development. Arch. Babatunde Olajide, speaking on behalf of the Executive Secretary of TETFUND, emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to uplifting tertiary institutions nationwide for enhanced and standardized education.
