Breaking: Borno State Governor Reaction Over Boko Haram Threat To Nigeria....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has voiced serious concerns about the potential danger posed by the terrorist group Boko Haram to Nigeria. During a meeting with the reconstituted management board of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) in Maiduguri, Governor Zulum stressed the need for immediate measures to prevent the nation’s complete destruction.

The governor specifically pointed out the presence of internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in various Local Government Areas of Borno State as a major worry. He expressed fears that these camps could become recruitment grounds for Boko Haram and ISWAP, intensifying the threat from these terrorist groups.

Governor Zulum emphasized the importance of addressing this pressing issue to ensure Nigeria’s safety and security, warning that failure to do so could have dire consequences for the entire nation. He highlighted the strategic location of Borno State, bordering Chad, Cameroon, and Niger Republic, and the need to control security in the North-Eastern subregion to safeguard the entire country.

The governor also expressed concerns about the challenges within the IDP camps, such as increased prostitution, uncontrolled procreation, and drug abuse. He called for the intervention of the North East Development Commission to partner with the state government in closing these camps and enabling residents to earn a livelihood independently. Governor Zulum’s goal is to eliminate the IDP camps, as he believes it is crucial to preventing people from being lured into joining Boko Haram and ISWAP.
