Nigerians React Over Allegations Of Plot And Strife Emerge In Minister’s Legal Battle, Labour Party Issues Response....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The leadership of the Labour Party (LP) has raised concerns over an alleged conspiracy between Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Nkiruka Onyejeocha, and the Lamidi Apapa faction to create discord within the party. The LP made these accusations in response to the appearance of two lawyers representing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Lagos appellate court.
These lawyers presented a letter of authorization to speak on behalf of INEC in the case involving Amobi Ogah of LP and Nkiruka Onyejeocha of the APC. Ogah and Onyejeocha had contested the Isiukwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency election earlier this year, with INEC declaring Ogah the winner. However, a National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal in Umuahia ruled that Ogah’s election was invalid.
The LP believes that the drama surrounding the appearance of two different lawyers representing INEC is part of a conspiracy. They suspect foul play and suggest that the delay in presenting the letter of authorization was intentional, causing a postponement of the hearing.
Kennedy Ahanotu, the LP’s National Youth Leader, stated that they have information indicating that the conspiracy is being orchestrated by a faction within the LP and the minister. Ahanotu believes that the minister is collaborating with some expelled members of the party to sustain a crisis within the LP.
In response to these allegations, the minister’s special media adviser, Gabriel Emameh, denied the claims and urged the LP to focus on resolving its internal crisis. He argued that a former federal lawmaker with 16 years of service to the country would not collaborate with an opposition party.
The spokesman for the Apapa faction, Abayomi Arabambi, also denied any alliance with the minister and asserted that the LP has no relationship with her. He stated that the LP supports any Nigerian citizen seeking redress in the courts.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
