Speaking during a burial and thanksgiving service held in honor of his late father, Pa Joseph Omowaye Alo, Prophet Olu Alo warned against the corrupt accumulation of wealth, emphasizing that all worldly riches end up in ruins upon one’s death.

Attributing Nigeria’s myriad problems to a lack of reverence for God, love, and the prevalence of vote buying during elections, he stressed the need to prioritize ethical voting and political accountability.

The Prophet shared that despite the difficulties faced by many nations, it is good leadership that has historically propelled them toward better days. He urged Nigerians to be discerning voters, emphasizing the importance of focusing on candidates’ visions rather than short-term monetary incentives.

Prophet Olu Alo cited sobering statistics, indicating an increase in electoral violence in states preparing for off-season governorship elections. He expressed his dedication to tackling this crisis head-on and initiating a peace initiative called Youth Against Electoral Violence Accord (YAEVA).

In his sermon titled “The Second Coming of Jesus Christ,” CAC Sophia Ajayi Regional Superintendent, Pastor Stephen Jayeoba, urged people to remember their final day on Earth, emphasizing that they would ultimately be held accountable by God.

Prophet/Evangelist Ade Ologbonyo highlighted the significance of nurturing strong relationships, underscoring their impact on one’s life journey. He commended late Pa Joseph Alo for his ability to build positive relationships.

Prophet Olu Alo’s family contributed to the community, donating state-of-the-art classrooms to a high school, a large hall to the town, and a maternity home to the church. They also pledged to establish a care home for widows and the less privileged in their hometown.

Prophet Olu Alo pointed out that the root of Nigeria’s issues lies in a lack of fear of God, and love. He called for an end to vote buying and a shift toward supporting visionary candidates. He stressed that change requires a change of attitude and a commitment to standing by leaders who can positively impact the nation. The Prophet emphasized the importance of electing leaders based on their ability to serve rather than their financial generosity during elections.

Furthermore, Prophet Olu Alo warned against corruption and embezzlement, emphasizing that ill-gotten wealth cannot be carried into the afterlife. He pointed out that the legacy of corrupt individuals is often marred, as their wealth is left behind, and their beneficiaries may speak out against them after their death.
