Former IYC Spokesperson Advises Niger Delta Youths To Exercise Caution In Criticizing Ndiomu....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe, former national spokesperson for the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide, has issued a word of caution to the youth of the Niger Delta, urging them not to allow themselves to become pawns of distraction. Instead, he emphasized that they are the future leaders of the region.

His statement came in response to a threat from some Niger Delta youth to protest against Maj.-Gen. Barry Ndiomu (retired), the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), over allegations of fraud and incompetence that Ekerefe deemed unfounded.

In a press release from Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, the former IYC spokesperson urged the youth to reconsider their actions and avoid becoming part of the problems that need to be resolved in society. He advised them to become part of the solution instead.

Ekerefe questioned why the youth would allow themselves to be manipulated by desperate groups who have resorted to sponsoring damaging publications and even attempted to create conflicts between the National Security Adviser, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, and Gen. Ndiomu. He described this level of desperation as excessive.

He condemned any efforts to bring down another Ijaw individual solely due to their position of power, as such actions have diminished the reputation of the Ijaw nation in the country. Ekerefe appealed to those involved to desist from such behavior.

While Ekerefe acknowledged that some of Ndiomu’s policies and reforms may not benefit individuals who have manipulated the system, he stressed that these reforms are ultimately in the best interest of the program’s beneficiaries and are already yielding results in the long run. He noted improvements in the Presidential Amnesty Office’s capacity and entrepreneurial policies for the program’s beneficiaries under Ndiomu’s leadership.

JUSTICE AT LAST! 5-Year Legal War Over Dr. Tosin Ajayi’s Multi-Billion Naira Estate Finally Ends!.

A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja has concluded a nearly five-year legal dispute regarding the estate and marital status of the late Dr. Tosin Ajayi, founder of First Foundation Hospital. In her ruling, Justice Oluwayoyin Odusanya declared Adenike Oluwayemisi Ajayi the sole lawful widow of the deceased.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

  • Legal Status of Marriage: The court affirmed that Mrs. Ajayi’s monogamous marriage to Dr. Ajayi remained valid until his death in 2020, ruling that a prolonged separation does not constitute a legal dissolution of marriage.

  • Rejection of Helen Prest’s Claims: The court dismissed claims by former beauty queen Helen Prest, who asserted she was also a spouse through a Kalabari customary marriage.

  • Lack of Evidence: Justice Odusanya described Prest’s customary marriage claim as an “afterthought,” noting her inconsistent past descriptions of her relationship with the deceased and the total lack of documentary or photographic evidence.

  • Invalidity of Second Union: Furthermore, the court found that even if a ceremony had occurred, any such union would have been invalid because Prest was still legally married to her previous husband at the time she claimed to have married Dr. Ajayi.

  • Resolution of Estate: The judgment grants Mrs. Ajayi and her children all requested reliefs, including her entitlement to one-third of the personal estate and exclusive rights to apply for letters of administration.
