Following the death of the 27-year-old singer, there has been significant criticism directed at his former record label boss for mistreating the deceased during his lifetime.

He argued that the Marlian boss is one of the most talented songwriters in the industry.
The music executive maintained that Naira Marley is merely implicated by association and called upon Nigerians to extend forgiveness towards him.
Teebillz stated, “Naira Marley is too young and gifted to be discarded by the cancel culture. He is one of the finest lyricists of the new generation. Being guilty by association is not an intentional offense in my view. I pray that people can forgive Naira Marley for his imperfections, and I hope that God grants him a second chance to realize his potential as a genuine leader and influencer.”
He added, “Just yesterday, when almost everyone was a celebrated Marlian, Naira believed in and invested in Imole’s talent, even when none of the posthumous advocates of love did. May our creator bless us with wisdom and understanding where we are lacking.”
