After Ogun Governorship Tribunal’s Ruling, Adebutu Unveils Future Plans And Upcoming Actions....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oladipupo Adebutu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, has stated his intention to challenge the decision of the state’s Election Petition Tribunal. The tribunal, led by Justice Hamidu Kanaza, recently affirmed the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18 governorship election.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media for the Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation, Afolabi Orekoya, Adebutu expressed his disappointment with the tribunal’s verdict, describing it as a threat to democracy. He emphasized his determination to pursue justice, highlighting that the dismissal of his petition was primarily based on technicalities and did not adequately consider the substantial evidence presented during the trial.

Adebutu expressed concerns that the tribunal’s decision raises questions about the judiciary’s role as the last resort for the common citizen seeking redress. He stressed his commitment to democratic principles, transparency, and the rule of law, vowing to exhaust all legal avenues to protect the people of Ogun State’s mandate.
He criticized the tribunal for focusing on procedural matters and language rather than thoroughly examining the substantial evidence of election irregularities, even including marked ballot papers, that were presented. Adebutu emphasized that they had obtained certified documents from INEC, supported by official receipts, to substantiate their claims, which were not adequately considered.
Adebutu strongly condemned the tribunal’s judgment and announced his intention to appeal it through his legal team. He reassured the people of Ogun State that he would persist in fighting for their rights and aspirations, seeking a fairer outcome at the appellate court.
He expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering commitment and urged them to remain steadfast throughout the legal battle. Adebutu also cited the case of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun State, who faced a similar situation but eventually found justice in the appellate and Supreme Courts.
Adebutu called on all concerned citizens and stakeholders in Ogun State to join him in the pursuit of justice and the preservation of democratic principles. He reaffirmed his dedication to the vision of a brighter future for the state and encouraged his supporters not to be discouraged by the tribunal’s decision.
