According to SP Irene Ugbo, the Command’s spokesperson, the operation, which took place on Monday and lasted for four hours, yielded a multitude of seized items, including remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Devices, detonators, and various automatic firearms. Additionally, numerous locally crafted double-barrel guns and pistols were discovered at this illegal arms production facility.

Nine individuals suspected of being involved in illegal arms trafficking were apprehended at the scene, with SP Irene Ugbo highlighting that they are “known gun runners.” She further stated that after completing the investigation, these suspects will face legal proceedings.
