In a disturbing incident on Friday, bandits launched a raid on Dogon Noma village in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Tragically, they claimed the lives of at least two local residents and abducted three others during the assault.

Reports indicate that the bandits, following the attack, seized six motorcycles and made their escape to an undisclosed location. The attack unfolded in the early hours of Friday when the bandits arrived in the village and opened fire indiscriminately at the villagers, resulting in the fatalities.

A source within the community recounted that the villagers swiftly raised an alarm, but timely assistance was not immediately available. Fortunately, security personnel arrived shortly after the attack, prompting the bandits to flee the area.

The source elaborated, “When the bandits stormed the community in the early hours of Friday, we raised the alarm immediately but security men later came and pursued them out of the area. We later recovered two bodies while three persons were taken away by the bandits. Six motorcycles were also taken away by the bandits.”

The Kaduna State Police Command confirmed the incident, with its acting Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, acknowledging the attack. He assured that law enforcement operatives were making diligent efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims unharmed.
